Customer Rating: Summary: Good for auditions, but not enough songs Comment: I don't know what happened, but I guess I ended up ordering the wrong thing because the biggest song I was looking for was Castle on a Cloud. In any case, it's still a pretty good version of some of the songs and my daughter can still use the CD anyway for auditions. Just wish the song selection wasn't so limited!
Customer Rating: Summary: I Dreamed a Dream Comment: This is the best Les Miserables karaoke product ever made as far as the quality of each song coming so close to the sound of the original recording. Unfortunately, it has one flaw. The only flaw is that there are only 8 songs on it. It does have the essentials such as On My Own, I Dreamed a Dream, Who Am I, Stars, Bring Him Home and Empty Chairs as far as the great solos from the show. I wish it would have had some of duets like Come To Me and A Heart Full Of Love as well as some great chorus songs like Red and Black, One Day More, and Do You Hear the People Sing. It was based off of the Original London Cast Recording as far as the arrangements since Stars has the slow and mystical ending instead of the big grand ending that became the standard when it came to Broadway. There are pretty much 2 other Les Miz karaoke CDs out there. There's one big one by Stage Stars with most of the show but horrible arrangements and orchestrations and cheap overall production. There's also Pocket Songs which almost matches this one as far as the choice of songs, but the sound quality just isn't as good, but is more passable than Stage Stars as an alternative (especially since this one is out of print and hard to find) so get this one while you can if you can.
